Let’s Talk Luxury: Real Luxury on Daniel Island, SC

What does luxury look like to you? A waterfront home with room to entertain? A beautifully designed house near golf and tennis? Or the freedom to walk to dinner, hear live music, and be home in minutes?

You can find spectacular homes in Palm Beach, Naples, and other celebrated luxury markets. I think Daniel Island offers something especially appealing: the homes are impressive, and the everyday life around them is just as good.

A luxury address you can enjoy every day

Daniel Island has more than 25 miles of trails winding past marshes, waterfront, parks, and neighborhoods. There are restaurants and shops close to home, concerts and tennis at Credit One Stadium, and Charleston’s dining and cultural scene nearby. You can spend the morning on the water, meet friends for dinner, and still feel at home in a neighborhood where people know one another. Daniel Island Property Owners' Association

That balance is what sets Daniel Island apart for me. Some luxury destinations are wonderful places to vacation. Daniel Island is a wonderful place to live.

What do homes cost on Daniel Island?

Luxury here covers a wide range. As a broad market reference, the median sale price for Daniel Island homes was about $1.28 million over the three months ending August 2026. That figure includes property types beyond single-family houses, so it should not be read as the average single-family sale price. Redfin

At the other end of the market, an estate at 344 Bayley Road was offered for $14.9 million in late September 2026. That is an asking price, not a recorded sale. Between those points, buyers can explore everything from neighborhood homes to custom waterfront properties and luxury condominiums. Zillow

For perspective, Palm Beach’s median sale price across property types was about $2.8 million over the same three-month period. Markets and housing mixes differ, so that is not an apples-to-apples valuation. It does show that Daniel Island deserves a look from buyers who want a luxury lifestyle with more ways to enter the market. Redfin

What to Expect When You're Inspecting! Do you know the pitfalls to watch out for?

Truth: There is nothing AI about this post! Things I see OVER and OVER again on every home inspection!  Tips for Sellers preparing your home for an inspection, and tips if you are a Buyer on what to expect.......
